WELCOME TO GRADUATE STUDIES AT GEORGIA TECH

Pursuing your master's degree or doctorate at the Georgia Institute of Technology is an excellent opportunity for advancement - both in your career and your pursuit of knowledge. All six colleges within Georgia Tech offer graduate degrees. A number of multidisciplinary and multi-college degrees are available as well.

Graduate students are an integral part of Georgia Tech's very active research life. Over 70% of Georgia Tech's full-time graduate students are typically supported by research or teaching assistantships, with the majority being research assistantships.

Students may pursue their studies and research not only on the main campus in Atlanta, Georgia, but also at our campuses in Savannah, Georgia and Metz, France; at affiliated institutes such as the Skidaway Institute Of Oceanography and the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education; and at a number of other educational institutions with which Georgia Tech is affiliated. At the Atlanta campus, Georgia Tech students can take classes not offered by Georgia Tech at other Atlanta-area universities, including Georgia State University and Emory University, participating in the Atlanta Regional Consortium for Higher Education.

Georgia Tech's main campus offers the appeal of a medium-sized residential campus, attractively landscaped with plenty of green space, around which a large, modern city with all its conveniences and cultural amenities has grown. The Atlanta campus has its own campus bus system, modern recreational facilities, a Student Health Center, apartment-style residence halls for graduate students only, and many other services and amenities.
