Admission to the MBA program is highly selective, and each candidate is assessed on a number of dimensions. In keeping with our commitment to educating leaders, the Georgia Tech MBA program evaluates each applicant’s potential to lead effectively. We invite applicants to apply after gaining meaningful leadership experience, whether through extracurricular activities or employment. We carefully evaluate all parts of your application to understand who you are, what you’ve done, what you can add to the MBA community and how the experience will help you meet your career goals. Successful applicants are distinguished by their unique combinations of high leadership potential, academic excellence, and individual background and interests. Group work is required in many of our core and elective courses. Therefore, we also look at an applicant’s ability to work with others, to manage groups and to work effectively as a team.

Our goal is to select prospective students who aspire to global leadership positions. We look for applicants with outstanding intellectual promise and strong interpersonal skills, as well as professional and personal maturity and a strong sense of personal ethics and responsibility. Because a high percentage of our applicant pool is qualified for admission, successful applicants are those who present the most compelling arguments for admission and can distinguish themselves from other applicants by their achievements, background, and sense of purpose.
